colors of a dream 9/3/24

When we experience a change, even if it is ultimately for the better, the initial aftermath is a feeling of loss. And right on its heels is sorrow.

Having recently had such a change and felt the subsequent sadness,

I found myself in meditation this morning.

I’ll admit it – I was begging for help. Feeling as though I’d made a mistake, that I was a damaged human being and was praying for forgiveness.

It wasn’t long before I heard the word ‘love.’ As I remained quiet, what followed was a cascade of ‘coincidences.’ Each one was kind and healing.

On the drive home, I heard a song titled “The Colors of a New Dawn.”

I knew in my heart I was entering into a new opening in my friendships.

In honor of the song, I offer these images.

If you have experienced any losses,

there is always space for the birth of a new dream.

Blessings

    1. Thank you, dear friend.

Yes, the experience was all of that and the sorrow which was deeply felt. Luckily, I have a spiritual practice and lovely friends to help me through the rough times. Love E

    1. Thank you for your kind words, JC. If I was a musician, this would have been a country song, about losing a friend, and I would heal through song.

But as a photographer, this is the way I share my pain AND my joy. I am truly blessed, however, as you may have been able to tell. Once I reached out to the Universe for help, all kinds of ‘angels’ or ‘coincidences’ in the form of friends, flooded in. My heart is mending, and the pain is sequencing through my system.

My new song is about looking forward – The Colors of a New Dawn

  2. Loss does indeed bring new beginnings. I miss my pups and my sweet brother but life’s force offers new beginnings. Not to replace the love of your lost ones but to allow you to open your heart to new love. You are so wise and I appreciate our friendship more than you will ever know.
