summer decorations

Sometimes we groomed the boys sometimes we just decorated them.

One day, Louie saw us and came running up to the barn expecting a treat or toy.

(Don’t his nostrils look like one of the creatures from the bar scene in the first Star Wars movie?)

We draped him with a flower lei. Louie had a few words to say on the matter.

“Hey, I came in to see yous guys. Not to be decorated! I’m outta heah! Go pick on Styx.”

He took off with the orange lei still on his head, so we nabbed Styx.

“Oh deah, did Louie put you up to this? I am not keen on being decorated but because I quite fancy you, Carol, I’ll give it a momentary go.”

He gave us a moment, then high tailed it to the pasture. Meanwhile, Louie returned, still be-lei-ed, looking for a snack or love from Carol. We heard him muttering….

“Well, runnin’ didn’t stop ‘em. Dey are relentless! I’ll wait until dey stop lookin’ den I’ll crush dees flowers.”
