Susie and Carol are excellent horsekeepers. When winter comes, they pull out the blankets to protect their horses from the chill and wet snow. Styx and Louie arrived in the summer so as temperatures began to drop, they went shopping for coats for the boys. Stars for the tough guy and a solid for the gentleman.

They had never worn blankets and weren’t quite sure about them.
“What is dis ting on me?” “I have the same concern, old boy. I have never felt anything wrap around my body in such a manner.”

“I’m feelin’ itchy an my gor-jus hair is getting mashed!” “I shall endeavor to remove it. Oh my, there appear to be multiple binders attached.”

“What gud are ya? I’m gonn haf ta do it myself!”

“Now, hold on. I believe I have contacted some sort of latch apparatus.”

“Try pullin’ it ova my head, ya big gasbag!” “I say, dear boy, if you would simply stand still, I believe I will be successful.”

“Guess it’s up ta me now. Getch yer teeff ofa it!”

“Ole chap, I believe you are off your nut and becoming quite rude. I say, do the task yourself.”

“I have nothing more to add.”

“Cripes, I got it part way. Les walk some more ta see if it falls off by itself.” “Mine seems to be affixed around my hind legs, but I believe yours may be attached around your rotund paunch.”

“Let’s go ta dem wimin and beg fa mercy. Maybe dey will take dis dum, itchy ting offa me.” “Ahh, I believe they are our only hope. It is beginning to precipitate. We must make haste, old chap.”

“Um – I don’t need no ‘ffection! Just get it offa me!”

“Smile all ya wan ta, Auntie C. I aint a fan a starz-on a-jacket.”

They walked off muttering about how itchy winter was going to be never mind, how hard it was going to be eating with the wrappers around their necks.
Another story to come………..
