Appreciations       11.9.25

Remember that old song, “You’ve gotta dance like nobody’s watching?”

This morning, I received a lengthy email from a dear friend. She wrote that she has read all my stories, intended to write something and her busy life got in the way. My heart felt warm and expanded right out of my ribcage.

Perhaps there are others of you that do the same. I have no real sense.

There are times it does feel as though I’m mostly sending my thoughts into a vacuum, yet my hope is that a story or images touch at least one person and allows her or him to feel a resonance or less alone.

“You’ve gotta sing like nobody’s listening.”

Many people are ‘social media shy.’ I am somewhat the same. The lower my profile, the less exposure to hackers, spam and advertising harvested by A.I.

My ‘subscriptions’ list is tiny, but I treasure those that click the subscribe button and comment. Equally, I adore hearing privately via email or text from you, it inspires me and it matters to this introverted soul.

And still, ‘I’ve gotta write like nobody’s reading.’

Thank you, Michelle, for your email and reminder to appreciate my readers.

With gratitude and love
