As I published the last five images, I realized I resonate even more deeply with the culture of the lands I live upon now, those of the first people here.
Prayer Flags speak to me because of their ancient lineage and the messages they offer to the wind. Yet closer to my home and land, I am drawn to honor the indigenous people. Among their traditions is to honor the earth by making an offering before any important event; each day we are alive qualifies in my world!
I view my daily images – as an offering, a prayer to you, my community. My hope is that each picture offers an opportunity to pause for a moment of quiet in our loud and troubled world.

Every morning, I gaze toward the eastern sky to see the light show that accompanies the dawn. I am rarely disappointed.
Ahh, another day I get to have.
