FAITH

From my last story, it’s apparent I am trying to make sense of the whole Spiritual aspect of my life. Looking into the maw of Death has that effect!

A number of my friends have shared with me their vision of “Faith and God/Spirit/The Divine, Miracles and Prayer.”  The different points of view have profoundly touched and helped me in this journey toward healing. I share them here:

“I believe there is something divine and uniting beyond all of us. So, prayer for me is really about aligning my being with what I call Divine Love.

That can include poetry, meditation, aligning at the kinesthetic level with beauty, nature a kitty a horse, a human or oneself.

And, through that, I experience my pure, perfect beingness; me as the reflection of the Divine. Me as the cup of water in the ocean of Love. That for me is prayer.

I have faith that it is probably true. And if it isn’t, I don’t care, because my life is better for having that belief. So, in my book, you are the reflection of Divine Love and at the essential level are perfect, whole, and complete and that is your deepest essence.” JC

“I think loving God is loving his creations and holding an attitude of gratitude for everything. My job is to love myself and believe that God has a purpose for my life. I also try to love others who are different from me even though they are behaving unkindly. It makes me aware of my judgments, which take constant vigilance. We are all children of God, and we are all here for a reason.” MC

Selected quotes from GC

“There are no small lives. All are precious, and none can be replaced. The reason God heals us isn’t just so we receive a healing. We are healed to be a healer. After our healing, we are meant to heal others. They say that the greatest way to receive a miracle is to be a miracle for someone else. If God’s grace was performance based, none of us would have a chance!” GC

“Spirituality is recognizing and celebrating that we are all inextricably connected to each other by a power greater than all of us, and that our connection to that power and to one another is grounded in love and compassion.”             Brené Brown “Braving the Wilderness”

I have been practicing Wisdom Healing Qigong for a while and, more intently in the last six weeks. I was in a fairly deep meditation the other day and was tuning into my heart when it began to pulse. I felt energy moving up my throat and into my eyes. I clearly heard a whisper ‘Look to the Divine…. As I tried, with my vision eyes, to look upward, I felt a physical pressure above my eyebrows pushing my gaze back down, and into my heart. The whisper continued …….in you’.

I also do a practice about expanding our awareness out and beyond the physical body into the ‘Infinite Space’ where we all connected. As the practice continues, I bring this Infinite Space back into my body.

In my practice this morning, I realized the ‘Infinite Space’ is the same as ‘God’s Love’ or ‘Divine Love’ or ‘Perfect Beingness’ or all the other names that nudge us toward the reminder that we each embody this Perfection. And we are Loved by an energy greater than ourselves.

As you can see, my friends possess an eloquence that I do not, but still, my story speaks to how each journey takes us all, ultimately to the same place.

So, I have faith that I, too am stumbling toward Grace.

  1. I love where you are going with this. It is as though you started it before you knew this is where you were going. There it is again: your creativity guiding the way, opening a pathway so that you had something to walk on as you received the diagnosis, as you take what is happening seriously, and now as the spiritual path opens before you….It is really so beautiful.

I’m so grateful to be walking this closely with you. And I’m very, very excited about coming and getting food and cooking and being together. Love you so very much! Lynda.
