simply spring

To my special readers who have stayed with me through the last four stories,

this is your ‘spring break’!

No shocking news….no lung updates….no spiritual crisis.

Just the tiny beginning signs that spring may, in fact, come to Colorado,

one bud at a time!

Turning the fields
Sweet crocus
Hair in your mouth from your horse shedding winter
A yard bunny patiently waiting the first sprout of grass
Girls riding in shirtsleeves with snowcapped Rockies in the background
The ‘fire season’ beginning waaaaaay too early!
The joy of jumping outdoors again
Snowdrops poking up through crinkly leaves
The spunkiness of a horse as the weather changes
Simple beauty – simple spring

  1. Wonderful. Thank you. I noted on one of your photos that you commented on the lovely little flowers poking through old, dead leaves. “Snowdrops poking up through crinkly leaves”. I had to smile. I was with the Lumpers at Botanic Gardens last Friday and was inspired by the exact same thing!!!!! The vestiges of last year’s foliage making a soft background for this year’s color. Rather than thinking, “gosh, why don’t the gardeners clean up the beds?” And I wrote that in the email when I sent the Lumpers the day’s photos. It’s the little things, isn’t it????

  2. I love spring! And I haven’t seen a single crocus in my hood yet – so it is such a pleasure to see them here! LOVE the spunky horses and their riders! Sending hugs xoxo Rita

  3. Hello dear friend, I always look through these once, then take a pause for a day or so and look again. It helps me take in where you are. I love the spring break, and I love the wide range of places you are traveling in yourself and sharing with us. All of it, from the hardest news to the buds and colors of spring, tell a heart-filled story. I feel like I get to accompany you. Thank you. Thank you. Love you, Elizabeth, Lynda.
