healing

I just returned from my two-month follow-up appointment with my pulmonologist, Dr Lange. When he walked into the exam room, his eyes went wide with surprise. He said he couldn’t believe I was the same person who gasped her way into his office in February.

I told him I was feeling so much better (the pulse oximeter confirmed increased O2 levels). He wanted the story. I told him about the process of facing death, giving away lots of my things, planning for my horse’s care and, when I got closer to the end, euthanizing my two kittens

Then, lying around sniffing oxygen for two weeks and finally pulling myself upright and getting back into the “alternative” healing practices I have learned.

Here, I must acknowledge my exceptional support team:

Beth Bright, Rocky Mountain Acupuncture, for her needles and teaching about healing energy through a Wisdom Healing Qigong practice.

Cody Robbins, Performance Pilates, for designing my mat practice toward stretching and opening the fascia surrounding the lungs.

Marilyn and Glen Carle for guiding me in how to pray and to believe in miracles.

And Michael Binfet for sharing the story of his miraculous healing.

So, other than continuing with these practices, the only thing he requested is that I use the supplemental oxygen at night, at a lower level, to assist my brain in resetting the level of its need for oxygen.

So, I am ever grateful to my many friends, too numerous to name, and my support team.

As Dr. Lange and I said goodbye, he had tears in his eyes as he said, “I am not what you’d call a religious man, but I do believe in something greater – a mystery,

and I see that you found it.”
