Connection – a Mystery

I have wanted to write this story for a while now, yet each time I try, I bump into the fact that I am attempting to explain a Mystery. I cannot find words.

I see evidence everywhere that we are all connected; we are all part of an unfathomable web of life and that we each embody a divine spark.

Many spiritual practices are based upon this idea. To be clear, I’m not talking about religious beliefs. I’m not talking about dualistic references. No omnipotent being, no system of good-evil or right-wrong. No fervor or scriptural quotes to back up my point of view.

My experience is that not only are we connected, but we influence each other simply by our way of being. If we view others through a lens of love or kindness or gratitude or peace, we affect those around us.

I certainly have to use dualistic thinking to operate in our culture. This Mystery way of being can’t balance a bank statement or decide when the car needs to be serviced or whether a red traffic light means anything.

To share how this understanding came to me is something I’m not ready to do just yet. What I can say is, it came through my body and it’s responses and reactions as I interact with others. I have come to understand that I must use the wisdom of my body as well as the intelligence of my mind to operate in this world. I need both.

The mind and body are all connected in this mysterious web.

I feel love in my body, specifically my chest and heart. You know this feeling if you have ever been loved by a dog or cat or horse. It comes without strings or expectations. There is purity in that kind of love. That’s what I mean.

May we all walk in beauty.

Enjoy the Mystery of your connections or just the photos! Comments welcome.

Yes, connections are very important, the possibilities and the truly close connections.
I’ve been feeling them with relatives like you, and friends, especially those not seen much since covid made its way into our lives. Hold Fast, be Strong! Make connections !

  3. Dearest T
When I returned home last summer, I felt connections I thought had been broken. I was welcomed with open arms at the farm, and it was especially tender to see you again. At that point, with the lung diagnosis haunting me, I thought it was a farewell trip. Now, I have hope for a longer life. Perhaps we can plan another visit. You have been part of my healing journey. Thank you.
    Love
    E
