Close to Home 12/8/24

The intensity of last year has left me a breathless and a bit tired. When I check in with myself, I only hear murmurings…….. ‘be gentle with yourself. Rest for now. Don’t push.’

Consequently, I have shifted my focus to the details of my life and that which nourishes me.

Beginning in the kitchen, one source of nourishment and endless beauty.

My mind urges me to move forward, yet my heart insists on more gentleness.

Following the rhythms of my feline companions.

As a result, I have been simplifying each day, limiting my driving and am slowly beginning to replenish my spirit by staying close to home.

Noticing the stark beauty of black and white photography…….

……And the variety of protective gear needed for my clipped horse as the weather does its temperature gyrations……………

…………..And the beauty of the Front Range surrounding me……..

………and right in my own back yard

I am finding delight in the everydayness of my simplified life and photography……….

……and showing iPhone proofs during a photo shoot.

Blessings and love – Elizabeth

  1. So much beauty close to home!!!! I love the noticing of what is right here, right around and in front of and behind us! I appreciate the reminder of close in — and it so goes with the season. As always, your photos are AMAZING wherever you are :-). Beautiful, E.
