snow day*

Every kid loves a Snow Day. The school closes, the busses don’t run, and they are free to play on the fresh white hills.

The donks are no different. After a snowy night spent in a warm barn, when Carol opens the doors after breakfast-out they go!

Her horse, RP, joined them for a good romp which included chasing each other all over the pasture.

Louie attempted to hide in a low dip, to no avail. RP spotted him and made a U-Turn.

When all the boys had had a good run, they followed Carol back to the barn for brunch.

Of course, we each praised Styx for his herculean effort.

*It is 90 degrees as I write this story.

Just remembering the day cools me.
