My Daily Smile #56

I have not missed the news. I am aware of the crumbling infrastructures around the world. Yes, it is painful and I have chosen to add light with images of nature and our beloved home- Earth – as my daily practice.

With all that is happening, there are also small moments that bring a smile and at times, a delightful laugh for me. I am also aware that humor is in the eye of the beholder. However, here are scenes that qualify in my book.

I hope you have animals and friends in your life that bring you lightness.

One day as I meandered the back roads of the front range, I came upon a field of Christmas trees. When I was a kid, we planted hundreds of baby pines in order to reforest some of the land that had been cleared by early farmers. As I studied these healthy-looking trees, I thought they were planted way too close to each other-their branches would shade their neighbor leaving them stunted. I got out of the car to take a picture and sniffed the air. They were not pines!
