Daily Delight #98

I trust we all have survived paying homage to the IRS. Now we can look forward to the way in which our dollars continue to be spent. I roll my eyes skyward with trepidation.

As an antidote, I offer ten more days of beauty which may allow us a tiny reprieve from a full ‘to do’ list.

In Massachusetts, lilacs bloom in May. My grandmother’s sister lived down the hill from us and in summer, we kids had permission to bed down on her sleeping porch in feather beds on the floor. The lilac bush grew right below this porch, and the fragrance awakened us each morning.
