I’m here still appreciating your posts — and smiling! I love the themes to see your wide-ranging catalog of images, as well as your comments. I look forward to them.
The landscapes and details from your lens are always interesting. Of course, the animal photos, especially the kids, are winners every time. (That kitty ear and Maisie lounging on the couch!)
I appreciated your reaching back a few years to your poppies in Denver. Once, when I visited you, I took some morning photos of them. I still use the best photo I took on a homemade card I occasionally send. The flowers were so pretty and bright. I smiled big-time at that one, remembering my visit and the beautiful Colorado morning light in your garden.
The hay field from last week? Do you remember years and years ago, we somehow compared notes and came up with the fact that we both had Yardley “hay” fragrance cologne (although I think it was some kind of fragrance oil) back in about 1967??? Nothing like the smell of hay!
Your artistic eye and perspective on life are wonderful. The posts definitely offer a respite from the daily political shenanigans in DC. (I’m hopeful about the midterm elections, though.)

Hi, I don’t know if I am smiling more lately. But here are some things that made me smile recently.
Hearing Andrew’s mother describe him as a child during her toast at the wedding last night. As a young child he insisted that his name was not “Andy”, not “Drew”. His name is Andrew. This happened before he was school age. – Watching the dogs play together. – The children from next door using some of the leftover flowers from the wedding as batons to wave.
Hope you’re doing well. I have been in and out of bed all day–just whooped.
