Daily Exhale #264

It is always recommended we ‘take a deep breath’ when we are trying to calm down. I love the reminder, but it’s often just a quick ‘sip’ high up near the throat.

I’ve found it more important to concentrate on the exhale, to first take a deep breath then exhale longer than it took to inhale. Let the exhale expel so much air, there isn’t anywhere else to go, then add a slow inhale.

Worth a try?

When I was roaming around upstate, I discovered an old inn. This was the gardening shed. I was captivated by the composition. The textures of the wood, framed by the trees and flowers that completed the image.
