It’s a challenge to find beauty in air crowded with wildfire smoke and the thermostat dancing between 90 and 100+ degrees.

Yet beauty is there. I simply need to wipe off the sweat and look. Mother nature never disappoints.

When I studied Japanese art, I was fascinated to learn of how distance creates layers of blue for the eyes. As another hot day drew to a close, I saw such an example right here at home.
